Year 5

Class 5C Mrs Cotton

Welcome to class 5C. We have wonderful year ahead of us with lots of exciting topics and trips such as a visit to the River Thames in our Geography unit of Rivers. We explore the lives of the Victorians and even study the fascinating lives of the Ancient Egyptians. Earth and Space, along with Animals and Adaptation, are some of the few exciting Science topics we will study too. We have kick-started the year in Literacy with our Newswise Project where we have become journalists! Not only do we have great topics this year, we value the importance and right to an education and respect this.

Class 5H Miss Henry

5H is a very hard working and caring class. We come from all over the world, so our aim is to share our knowledge and experiences with each other.
We love learning new things, particularly about the world around us. In history, we will learn about the Ancient Egyptians. This is an exciting trip for us because we will visit the National History Museum to learn more about the famous pyramids, and the process of mummification.
In the spring term, we will also be visiting the Ragged School Museum to learn about the Victorians.
We are a very active bunch; we are aiming to run at least 3 marathons by the end of the academic year.
You are always welcome to visit our class as we are always happy to share our learning with you.

Class 5S Miss Conroy

Welcome to 5S! We are a bright and creative bunch. Our favourite subjects are Art, PE, Science and Maths. This week, we set goals for the coming year and we are already working hard to achieve them. We are also keen readers and love nothing better than curling up with a book in our class reading corner. Most importantly, we respect one another and look out for each other. We make a great team!
